You’ve got your track.
You’re ready to master it.
You go to SoundForge.pl, upload your file…
But the result? It’s okay. Not amazing.
“Why doesn’t it sound like those other crazy good masters?”
The answer isn’t in the tool.
It’s in how you use it.
Here’s how to get the absolute best quality master from SoundForge — every time.
This is the biggest mistake beginners make.
❌ MP3 is compressed — missing data, flattened detail
✅ WAV is lossless — full dynamics, better depth, no artifacts
Even if your mix isn’t perfect, WAV gives our AI the full resolution it needs to work properly.
🎧 Rule of thumb:
Always export your track as WAV (16-bit or 24-bit, 44.1kHz)
Don’t normalize or limit — let SoundForge handle it
SoundForge is not a fixer for bad balances. It enhances what’s already there.
Before uploading:
🎚️ Make sure your kick isn’t buried
🎧 Solo your vocals — are they too harsh or too quiet?
🧼 Clean up low-end rumble and harsh sibilance
🎛️ Avoid brickwall limiting in the mix — leave headroom!
📌 TIP: Aim for around -6 dB on your final mix output before export. That gives our AI room to breathe.
Want to upload to:
Spotify?
YouTube?
SoundCloud?
Bandcamp?
TikTok?
Good news: SoundForge automatically optimizes your track for all of them.
But if you're mastering for vinyl or radio, let us know — we’ll launch genre/target options soon 👀
Once mastered, play your original and the SoundForge version back-to-back:
Same volume
Same system
Preferably on good headphones or monitors
🎧 Listen for:
Clarity in vocals
Power in low-end
Air in the highs
Balance across devices (phones, earbuds, speakers)
You’ll hear the polish instantly.
It’s like a camera — better source = better photo.
Don’t upload an MP3 selfie and expect a billboard.
Give it WAV. Give it clarity. Give it space.
📦 And SoundForge will deliver a polished, powerful, professional master — for free.
